JOB DESCRIPTION
- Interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (B.O.M.) for fabrication works and select suitable OEM components.
- Troubleshoot and provide effective solutions for manufacturing and production process issues.
- Liaise with the Operations team on technical challenges, production requirements and manufacturing processes.
- Provide alternative solutions and recommendations to resolve process-related problems.
- Coordinate with customers on technical matters, enquiries and engineering support.
- Ensure fabrication works comply with project specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity and quality.
QUALIFICATION
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least a few years of working experience in the precision engineering or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of machining processes such as milling, turning and wire-cut operations will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes, including welding, sheet metal work and surface treatment.
- Proficient in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GstarCAD or Mastercam.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Good working attitude, disciplined, systematic and able to work independently.
