As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.Our Team

Position Overview
This role requires strong foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in mechanical engineering. The candidate will solve complex problems using established methods while bringing a fresh perspective and improving existing solutions.
You will work independently with minimal guidance, contribute to project execution, and act as a resource for less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Engineering
Design, develop, andmodifymechanical components, assemblies, layouts, and specifications
Perform engineering analysis (thermal, flow, structural, vibration) of moderate complexity
Apply Design for Excellence (DFx), ergonomics, and safety principles
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Support development of tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes
Problem Solving & Innovation
Identifyand troubleshoot a variety of complex mechanical, manufacturing, and field issues
Apply structured problem-solving techniques and existing best practices
Contribute to improving designs and processes through analytical thinking
Project Execution
Lead or execute projects of moderate scope with limited supervision
Support end-to-end product development activities (design → prototyping → validation)
Work with suppliers forcomponentdevelopment and qualification
Contribute to generation of product specifications
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers)
Communicate technical information effectively

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's/MastersDegree in Mechanical Engineering
7 - 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development
Hands-on experience with:
CAD tools (Creo / NX / SolidWorks)
GD&T and mechanical design fundamentals
Manufacturing processes and materialselection
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor, machine tool, or precision equipment industries
Exposure to product development lifecycle (design to manufacturing)
Knowledge of vacuum or cleanroom environments
Experience working with suppliers or cross-functional teams
Familiarity with Applied Materials product lifecycle
