Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Engineer to lead and oversee mechanical engineering activities for large-scale aviation terminal building projects across Pan India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure projects, particularly airport terminal building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the development of mechanical systems for airport terminal buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into the terminal design.
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical engineering activities across all project phases, from concept to commissioning.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure mechanical systems are installed as per design and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.
  • Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices into mechanical systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and innovations in airport terminal mechanical systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding mechanical engineering matters.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports for clients and project teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in airport terminal building projects or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Additional Information

  • Experience in airport terminal projects, including baggage handling systems, passenger comfort systems, and energy-efficient designs.
  • LEED accreditation or similar certification in sustainable design.
  • Membership in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, or equivalent.
