Mechanical Draughtsman

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draughtsman to join our team in Thane. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings for industrial furnaces, heat-treatment equipment, and related machinery. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and a good understanding of mechanical fabrication and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, including General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and part drawings as per engineering requirements. - Develop drawings for furnace structures, chambers, ducting, piping, platforms, frames, supports, and other mechanical components. - Create manufacturing and fabrication drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and welding details. - Modify and revise drawings based on design changes and customer requirements. - Coordinate with Design, Production, Fabrication, and Purchase teams to ensure that drawings are practical and production-ready. - Interpret engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications, converting them into detailed drawings. - Ensure that all drawings are prepared according to company standards and approved specifications. - Maintain proper drawing records and revision control. - Collaborate with the shop floor to resolve any drawing-related queries during fabrication and assembly. Required Skills: - Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. - Strong understanding of mechanical fabrication and manufacturing processes. - Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. - Knowledge of welding symbols, GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineering and production teams.
