Mechanical Developm. Eng.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Design with Creo, 2D Drawing creation, 3D model, Assembly creation.
• GD&T for 2D Drawings, SC / CC dimensioning of drawings.
• Product Data management with Windchill PDMLink 9.1.
• Maintaining DIS (Document information records), BOM, ECM in SAP.
• Coordination with production, quality, supply-chain, purchasing for M2/ M3/ M4 sample
• preparation (to find out lead times for production tooling, quality gauges).
• Conduct design simulations / engineering calculations, conduct design reviews.
• DFMEA creation & tracking, conduct DFMEA reviews.
• Failure Analysis support to return part analysis department.
• Independently work on development of new components.
• Benchmarking (from Engineering side).
• VA / VE (design improvements / alternate designs).
• Patents (out of box thinking).
• Regular interactions with Product Development (PD) team in Schaeffler China, Germany.
• Regular interactions with lead plants in HQ and regional plants.
• Layout & design VCT and components
• Finish drawing for enquiry / finished components
• Finish drawing for assembly
• Support PM / AE as a product expert
• Change management
• Optimize component design after RPA
• Support cost calculation, Deal with product orders
• Prepare product development plan
• Analyze test/ simulation / measurement result

Your Qualifications

• Education/ Apprenticeship: BE (Mechanical/Automotive)

Job experience:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in product design and development of Internal Combustion (IC) Engine
• component engineering (engineering calculations, design, development)

Languages skills:

English

Knowledge of SAP / PC:

• SAP knowledge is required.

Technical knowledge:

• Detailed understanding of IC engine working and its sub system.
• Design knows how of valve train system and its components.
• Aware of VCT & OCV functionality,
• Manufacturing Processes - Sintering / Power Metallurgy, Sheet Metal (stamping/ fine
• blanking), etc.,
• Additional necessary knowledge or experiences:
• Expert in Creo,
• CAE tools,
• Project Management Tools,
• IATF or ISO/TS-16949 (DFMEA, DVP, APQP - New Product Development),
• GD&T
