Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed fabrication drawings for laser cutting, punching, bending, and welding.
- Develop flat patterns and ensure manufacturability of sheet metal parts.
- Apply knowledge of sheet metal processes such as bending, forming, welding, and finishing.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Optimize designs for cost, material utilization, and production efficiency.
- Maintain design database and revision control.
- Sheet metal thickness, bend allowances, K-factor & GD&T principles.
- Generate bill of materials (BOM) and production documentation.
- Support prototype development and production trials.
