Position Overview:
We are looking for a
Mechanical Design & Project Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical systems, structural design, and project execution. The candidate should be able to
independently handle projects across NTP, NPD, VAVE, and Q&R, while applying design engineering principles, project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute multiple project types such as NTP (New Technology Projects), NPD (New Product Development), VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), and Q&R (Quality & Reliability) independently.
- Apply project management skills to plan, track, and deliver assigned projects.
- Work on mechanical systems, structural components, sheet metal, and plastic part design & development.
- Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and DVPR (Design Verification Plan & Report) independently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Support RS Outdoor structural projects through design, execution, and validation.
- Contribute to VAVE projects, ideation workshops, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, recommend corrective actions, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure project documentation, test plans, and reports are maintained as per standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in mechanical design engineering and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of structural systems, sheet metal, and plastic part development.
- Hands-on experience in DFMEA & DVPR.
- Good understanding of design engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
- Good project management and communication skills.
