Mechanical & Piping Design
- Design and develop piping systems for water, wastewater, sludge, chemical, air, and utility services.
- Prepare and review P&IDs, piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics, and support drawings.
- Select appropriate pipe materials (CS, SS, DI, HDPE, UPVC, GRP) and components.
- Design piping connected to mechanical equipment such as:
- Pumps (centrifugal, vertical turbine, submersible)
- Blowers, compressors
- Filters, clarifiers, aeration systems
- Tanks and pressure vessels
- Ensure proper pump suction/discharge piping design and alignment.
Engineering Calculations & Standards
- Perform hydraulic calculations, line sizing, velocity, and pressure drop calculations.
- Ensure designs comply with AWWA, ASME, ISO, ASTM, IS codes, and project specifications.
- Provide inputs for stress analysis where applicable.
Coordination & Reviews
- Coordinate closely with Process, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and model reviews.
- Review vendor drawings and integrate package equipment into the piping layout.
Construction & Site Support
- Prepare material take-offs (MTO/BOQ).
- Support procurement through technical bid evaluations.
- Provide site engineering support during erection, testing, and commissioning.
- Review and update as-built drawings.
