Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Sheet Metal Design)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design and CAD modeling. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GD&T, SolidWorks, and product design principles. Experience working with PLM tools such as Enovia will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create and maintain detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with proper GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
• Perform CAD modeling, design modifications, and engineering change implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and product engineering.
• Support prototype development and resolve design-related manufacturing issues.
• Maintain engineering documentation and BOMs within PLM systems.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in sheet metal products.
• Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design and CAD modeling.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Mandatory).
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Enovia or any other PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tool.
• Exposure to engineering change management processes.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
