Location - Delhi
We're looking for experienced Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the aerospace domain. aircraft interior design specifically Premium class seating design as well as structural design preferable.
Design Engineer will be responsible to develop complex design concepts and mechanisms, BOMs, detailed design of seating components. He/she will be responsible for successful design integration to ensure customer/airframer regulatory requirements are met.
- Should be able to work independently in preparing Aerospace cabin level Aggregate concepts, various package options.
- Should be able to work on Layout of Passenger Accommodation (LOPA). Prefer knowledge of Ergonomics and Aerospace standards
- Design engineer is responsible for Cabin Interior product development and detailed product design according to standards and guidelines. Translate defined product design performance criteria in CAD data & specifications. Applies a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to Aerospace interior
- Complete ownership of Design and development of Cabin Interior sub-system using CATIA V5 software.
- Responsible for applying processes and methods for product design and ensuring process compliance through change management, design optimization, DFMEA, GD&T, design for manufacture and knowledge management.
- Co-ordinate with team lead & team members regarding work packages.
- Works with Design and manufacturing team regarding design and development of Seating parts.
- Upholds customer working practices, rules and regulations and supports a positive collaborative culture.
- Ensure quality of the CAD design, drawings & speed of delivery.
Knowledge Required :
- Minimum - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering
- Experience of Aerospace seating design & aircraft assembly line.
- Experience on Aerospace manufacturing processes and Industrial standard.
- Good knowledge on creation of Guidelines, Project Lean Design Roadmap
- Experience in developing the templates and standards to be used in the Industrial Process & innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of Aerospace design standards
- Knowledge of certification & flammability requirements will be preferrable.
- Good Understanding of Industrial assembly for Aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes.
