Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conceptualising, designing, and developing new mechanical devices or systems. This involves translating engineering requirements and benchmarking into detailed designs that meet functional, performance, and safety specifications.
- Knowledge of drawing standards & preparing component and assembly drawings
- Knowledge of various component manufacturing processes
- Should be able to deliver designs, concepts and drawings in the given timelines
- Developing and designing 2D and 3D models for jigs, fixtures, toy articles, moulds and other products
- Detail design of parts considering DFM (Design For Manufacturability), DFA (Design For Assembly, DFMEA (Design for Failure Mode Effect Analysis), Tolerance stack up analysis, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance)
- Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Performing engineering calculations
- Selecting materials that are strong, lightweight, cost-effective, and meet application requirements.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, manufacturing specialists, and other stakeholders to bring your designs from concept to reality.
- Participating in prototyping and testing phases to evaluate design functionality, performance, and manufacturability.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest mechanical engineering technologies such as 3D printing, robotics, and advanced materials.
- Should be able to communicate to customers directly after Initial training & connect
Qualification and skill set:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office, 3D modelling software
- 3+ years experience in a similar field
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and solve problems effectively
- Languages: Gujarati, Hindi & English
