Profile: Assistant Engineer NPD (New Product Development)
Experience: 35 Years
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Salary: upto 7.2 lpa (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models and assemblies for new product development using CAD tools
- Prepare 2D drawings and layouts in AutoCAD
- Support the NPD lifecycle from concept design to production release
- Coordinate with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams for design feasibility
- Implement design changes based on testing, feedback, and production requirements
- Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revision control
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design (SolidWorks / Creo / similar)
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience working in New Product Development (NPD) environments
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Exposure to sheet metal / plastic / machined components
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up
- Experience in prototype development and testing
