Job Opening: Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join on a contract basis. The engineer will work full-time from our office and support ongoing design and development projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D/3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
- Work on design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and products.
- Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and GD&T application.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, testing, manufacturing).
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and project requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD or equivalent).
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
- Familiarity with GD&T, engineering documentation, and BOM creation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Contract Details
- Engagement: Contractual, Full-time (onsite at client office).
- Duration: 3 months minimum
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Compensation: 50,000
