Position Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in product design, development and validation of mechanical systems. Ideal candidate should have strong engineering fundamentals with expertise in 3D CAD modeling, GD&T, DFM/DFA, design validation along with hand-on experience in machine design
Work You'll Do
- Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for plastic injection molding machines
- Perform concept design, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering
- Carry out engineering calculations for design and component selection
- Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo and Windchill PLM
- Conduct structural analysis (FEA) using Creo Simulation and interpret results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for DFM, DFA, and DFMEA activities
- Take ownership and accountability for assigned design tasks
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in existing products and processes
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members

- Part of the Product Development Team focused on mechanical engineering
- Role involves working as an individual contributor while collaborating toward common project goals
Basic Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6–10 years of experience in mechanical design and development
- Strong proficiency in CAD modeling and drafting (parts, assemblies, sheet metal)
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Good understanding of GD&T
- Basic FEA knowledge and result interpretation skills
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: casting, machining, fabrication, heat treatment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Self-driven with a learning mindset and innovative approach
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Certification or advanced training in Machine Design / Creo CAD
- Experience in plastic injection molding machinery, heavy machinery, machine tools, or press tools
- Hands-on experience in design/selection of structural components, gears, shafts, bearings, and castings
- Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM, and DFA methodologies
- Understanding of international standards (ISO, ANSI, CE safety standards)
