Job Description:

  • Design and sustain platform related requirements for Wet condition tools.
  • Design and manage cable & Pneumatics routing
  • Design support for cost reduction programs. [
  • Design support to resolve part/assembly level issues.
  • Design support to manage Tool BOM on record shipment.
  • Design support to manage the Supplier Problem statements (SPS) and Supplier Notifications Form (SNF)
  • Design support for Cable routing needs.
  • Actively engages with stakeholders to drive collaboration, meet objectives and business process metrics. ]

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and sustain structural frame and platform related changes for Semiconductor Wet condition tool. And supporting new products/Legacy tools aligned with multiple stakeholders inputs. Project focus is on

Proposing concepts and followed by detail design Structuring the assemblies and releasing it for testing. Refining the design based on testing, simulation and alternate calculation Releasing it for product development Finding Alternate design solutions for obsolescence (OBS) parts and studying the impact of changes on existing assemblies Apply domain knowledge to identify potential solutions to debug or troubleshoot problems in given areas of expertise in a specific design phase. Able to implement concepts to troubleshoot a variety of problems within a variety of steps in the semiconductor wet tool design issues under direct supervision. Identify risks to supervisors and identify possible solutions. Effective technical verbal/written communication. Collaborate with immediate team members as needed. Able to follow project schedules and milestones with direct supervision.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and scope.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's / master's degree, in engineering (preferably Mechanical / Electrical)
  • 8+ years overall experience, with 5 years of demonstrated experience in WFE/relevant industry.

Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/electromechanical sub-systems
  • Good understanding of processes related to manufacturing and engineering change management.
  • Experience in Project Management & Quality Methods, plus working knowledge of PLM, SAP ERP
  • Design/use of Standard stock sizes, Welding, sheet metal, coatings, and plastics.

Design Support:

  • Support on resolving design issues in a structured approach.
  • Drive results with enthusiasm and awareness of obstacles.
  • Able to influence others and bring stakeholders towards End Result

Competencies: Frame structure, welding, coating, Routing both pneumatic and e3s (Mechanical). Design for Excellence (DFx) Computer Aided Design (CAD) Bill of Materials & Master layout (BOM) Manufacturing Methods Problem Solving (Working Experience)

Problem Solving:

  • Be an analytical problem solver and develop straightforward, logical, practical and timely solutions.
  • Basic structural mechanics, large assembly handling and FEA

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills to collaborate and positively influence stakeholders.
  • Effective in presenting technical information concerning specific projects & sharing thoughts and ideas.
  • Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials core values.
