About the Role
Dynemix India is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for the design and development of equipment and systems related to bulk material handling, pneumatic conveying, storage silos, process equipment, and industrial machinery.
The ideal candidate should possess strong SolidWorks skills, sound mechanical engineering fundamentals, and the ability to perform basic engineering calculations to support equipment design and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to:
- Structural members
- Pressure and vacuum equipment
- Material handling equipment
- Pneumatic conveying systems
- Review customer specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams for design execution.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Support site installation and troubleshooting activities whenever required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and company practices.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assembly Modeling, Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Drawing Generation).
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including:
- Strength of Materials
- Machine Design
- Engineering Mechanics
- Manufacturing Processes
- Ability to perform engineering calculations independently.
- Good understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in bulk material handling, pneumatic conveying, process equipment, silos, tanks, or industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Exposure to design calculations as per IS, Eurocode, ASME, or equivalent standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
- Basic understanding of FEA and structural analysis will be an added advantage.
