Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience: 3 5 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 5 years of experience in product design and development using SolidWorks and PTC Creo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting design engineering projects, creating and maintaining engineering documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently support mechanical design engineering projects from concept through production support.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, product engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Provide design support for existing production parts and products, including modifications and continuous improvements.
  • Interpret and work from engineering instructions, procedures, technical drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with established design, drafting, and documentation standards.
  • Apply sound engineering principles to develop efficient, manufacturable, and reliable designs.
  • Deliver work with a strong focus on Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) objectives.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving and product optimization initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

  • 3 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and PTC Creo for 3D modeling and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering design principles and industry best practices.
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining engineering drawings, BOMs, and change management documentation.
  • Good knowledge of drawing interpretation, dimensioning standards, and drafting practices.
  • Working knowledge and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering procedures, technical documents, and manufacturing drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation control and revision processes.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration in manufacturing or product development environments.
