Job Description

Conveyor Tech Solutions is hiring an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for an on-site role at our Bangalore manufacturing facility. We are looking for a professional with around 5 years of experience in designing custom conveyors and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design 3D models, large assemblies, and fabrication drawings for conveyors using SolidWorks.
Select and integrate components like gearmotors, bearings, rollers, and belts.
Perform material calculations and generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
Conduct product costing analysis (steel, gearmotors, bearings, belts, and labor) to optimize manufacturing costs.
Collaborate directly with the shop floor and procurement teams to guide designs through fabrication.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5 years in a manufacturing setup designing conveyor systems or material handling equipment.
Software: Advanced, hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication (MS/SS), sheet metal, and component sizing.
Commercial Insight: Proven capability in estimating material weights, specialized component pricing (like belts and motors), and total production costs.
