Mechanical Design Engineer

• Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
• Will work include mechanical engineering for all products
• Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
• Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
• Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelors or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Have minimum 0 to 5 years of industrial experience in mechanical equipment design and application,
• Understand thermodynamics, rotordynamic, materials of turbomachinery product. Product knowledge on centrifugal compressor is added advantage.
• Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modelling along with GDT, FEA, programming.
• Able to work in experienced people team giving an active contribution to the design and decision-making process.
• Have an open approach to problem solving and expanding the current theory to fill the gaps.
• Have experience and background in manufacturing / reliability / material science is a plus.
• Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc is a plus.
• Executes, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
• Prepare and present technical data to internal customers.
• Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
• Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
• Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
