MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (Plastic & Sheet metal enclosures)
Job Description:
1. Design cost effective moulds for plastic enclosures
2. Design cost effective sheet metal enclosures
3. Create & Review 3D model, Create 2D assembly drawings
4. Work in collaboration with hardware engineers & Marketing engineers
5. Generate incoming inspection format for raw material
6. Carry out 3D printing & verify design
7. Execute projects within defined scope, budget and timelines
8. Evaluate technical specification for correctness and completeness
9. Provide support to production
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Proven track record of original Mould/Sheet metal designs, NO COPYING AND PASTING.
2. High IQ, Innovative brain, good learning skills, hardworking, motivated, CLOCK WATCHERS DO NOT APPLY
3. Deep understanding of fundamentals of plastic mould design, sheet metals designs, 3D models.
4. Thorough understanding of the mechanical drawings of electronic & electrical parts.
5. Thorough understanding of SolidWorks, 3D model creation, 2D assembly drawings
6. Good communication skills & ability to collaborate with remote colleagues
7. Designing and testing as per UL, NEMA requirements
8. Experience of mould designing with various types of plastics like ABS, PP, Nylon (glass filled) etc.
9. Thorough understanding of packaging design of electronic products
10. Good English communication skills to interface with US engineers
