Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
- 4-8 years of Experience.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, knowledge of NORSOK/DNV/API standards, and exposure to Teamcenter or similar PLM software are preferred.
- Good understanding of engineering materials, particularly steel and polymers.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T standards; familiarity with GPS tolerancing is an advantage.
- Proven experience in steel structure design, including welding and bolted connections.
- Strong proficiency in PTC Creo and AutoCAD, with advanced experience in 3D modeling and mechanical design.
- Ensure design quality and compliance with applicable engineering standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the design lifecycle.
- Select appropriate materials, including steel and polymers, based on functional and structural requirements.
- Prepare engineering drawings and ensure compliance with GD&T standards and design specifications.
- Design and validate steel structures, including welded assemblies and bolted connections.
- Develop detailed 3D models and mechanical designs using PTC Creo and AutoCAD.
