Mechanical design engineer 2-5 years

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with 2 to 5 years of expertise in mechanical design and automation systems. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of automation systems, ensuring high-quality project documentation, fabrication drawings, and effective coordination of hardware and parts ordering. Strong organizational skills and adherence to 5S principles for managing office and computer files are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Mechanical Design & Automation: Lead the design, analysis, and development of automation systems, ensuring all designs meet functional and safety requirements.

- Mechanical BOM (Bill of Materials): Develop, manage, and maintain accurate mechanical Bills of Materials for project builds.

- Fabrication Drawings & Instructions: Create detailed fabrication drawings and provide clear instructions to ensure proper manufacturing and assembly of components.

- Project Documentation: Maintain and update comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all designs meet internal and external standards.

- Order Hardware and Parts: Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of hardware, parts, and components for project builds.

- 5S Principles: Implement 5S principles to promote organization and efficiency in office and computer file management.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution and integration of designs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Should know about Robotics Automation.

- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on automation.

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Robotic Simulation Software or similar).

Experience with mechanical BOMs, fabrication drawings, and parts ordering.

- Strong understanding of 5S principles for organization and efficiency.

- Excellent project documentation skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM
