The Mechanical Construction Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the execution of all mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with project scope, quality standards, safety protocols, and contractual obligations. This role serves as the key interface between engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and client representatives, driving operational excellence, resource optimization, and timely project delivery.

Salary : INR 800000 - 1000000

Experience : 5 - 10 years

Location : Andhra Pradesh, India

Key Responsibilities :

  • Direct and manage mechanical construction works, including piping, static and rotating equipment installation, HVAC systems, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Review and validate mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs before execution.
  • Develop and implement construction schedules, manpower plans, and resource allocation strategies for the mechanical discipline.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to resolve multidisciplinary interface issues.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to contractual deliverables, quality benchmarks, and safety standards.
  • Monitor progress, identify variances, and initiate corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget compliance.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant codes, standards (ASME, API, ISO), and client specifications.
  • Implement HSE protocols and foster a zero-incident safety culture across all mechanical activities.
  • Manage change orders, technical queries, and scope variations related to mechanical works.
  • Supervise inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies to project leadership and clients.

Mandatory Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction management within EPC, oil & gas, petrochemical, or large-scale infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical construction methodologies, industry codes, and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
  • Proficiency in project planning and control tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Proven leadership skills in managing multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
