Job Description

The CE will be involved throughout the Design Investigation including:

A. Project Definition in support of the Head of the Office of Airworthiness: (1) Supporting the Classification of changes to Design or repair as Major or Minor.

(2) Agree the Certification basis through identifying the Airworthiness Requirements This will include the determination if legacy / grandfather rights can be used.

(3) Agree the Means of Compliance including the Test Requirements.

(4) Approve the Test Plan.

(5) Endorse the project to move to the next phase.

b. Testing

(1) Compliance Engineer has to demonstrate testing to justify compliance, for example to gain confidence that a Test House has conducted the test appropriately or to deal with any issues that arise during the test that need interpretation on compliance. The level of involvement of the CE is to take into consideration the criticality of the system, maturity of the technology, type of testing etc.

c. Verification

. Compliance Engineer has to verify all compliance data..

. Supporting the Classification of changes to Design or repair as Major or Minor.

. Agree the Certification basis through identifying the Airworthiness Requirements

. Prepare the certification program ensuring compliance requirements

. Prepare test plan for compliance requirements


Skills

Minimum - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with 2 yrs of experience.

Preferably - ME or MTech with a specialization in Compliance verification.

. Experience in working with aerospace industry standards and codes. Knowledge of CAR 21/ EASA Part 21, CS 25 and FAR 25 (EASA/FAA) and Aerospace Standards.

. Experience of Aerospace seating design & aircraft assembly line.

. Experience on Aerospace structure design & Analysis

. Experience on Aerospace manufacturing processes and Industrial standard.

. Good knowledge on creation of Guidelines, Project Lean Design Roadmap

. Experience in developing the templates and standards to be used in the Industrial Process & innovative solutions.

. Knowledge of Aerospace design standards

. Knowledge of certification & flammability requirements will be preferrable.

. Good Understanding of Industrial assembly for Aerospace manufacturing industry.

. Knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes.

. Proficiency in use of various modules of CATIA V5, ENOVIA & Dassault Systems 3DEXPERIENCE is preferable.
