Job Description
We are looking for a
Mechanical Analysis Intern to join our Mechanical Team and support the analysis, validation, and performance improvement of mechanical components and assemblies used in robotics applications. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to understand how mechanical parts behave under load, vibration, repeated usage, and real field conditions.
You will support basic load calculations, stress and strain analysis, CAD model review, CAE/FEA simulation, vibration-related observations, and design validation activities for robot chassis, brackets, mounts, shafts, plates, and assemblies.
This is a
6-month, in-office internship offering hands-on exposure to mechanical analysis, simulation, design validation, and practical problem-solving in a fast-paced robotics environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Good understanding of engineering mechanics and strength of materials
- Basic knowledge of stress, strain, bending, shear, torsion, deflection, and factor of safety
- Ability to perform basic load, deformation, and safety calculations for mechanical parts
- Basic understanding of material properties such as yield strength, tensile strength, stiffness, and density
- Exposure to CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Creo, or similar
- Basic exposure to FEA / simulation tools such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, Fusion 360 Simulation, Abaqus, HyperMesh, or similar
- Ability to review CAD models and 2D drawings from an analysis and validation point of view
- Basic understanding of vibration concepts such as frequency, amplitude, resonance, damping, and modal behavior
- Interest in mechanical testing, validation, product improvement, and real-world hardware
- Ability to document calculations, assumptions, observations, and results clearly
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work with the Mechanical Team
Benefits
- Hands-on experience in mechanical analysis of real robotic hardware
- Exposure to structural analysis, vibration, component life, and design validation
- Opportunity to work on robot chassis, brackets, mounts, shafts, plates, and assemblies
- Learn how mechanical parts behave under load, vibration, and field conditions
- Mentorship from experienced mechanical and robotics engineers
- Exposure to CAD, CAE, prototyping, assembly, and manufacturing-related challenges
- Collaborative and learning-focused work culture
- Opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance
