MDM Associate Data Steward

Overview:

We are seeking an MDM Associate Data Steward who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of master data across critical business domains such as Customer, Product, Affiliations, and Payer.

This role includes managing and curating master data via robust stewardship processes, data cataloging, and governance frameworks using Informatica or Reltio MDM platforms. The position involves advanced data analysis, validation, and transformation through SQL queries and Python scripts, enabling informed, data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate across Data Engineering, Commercial, Medical, Compliance, and IT teams to align data management practices with business goals and compliance standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across key master data domains (Customer, Product, Affiliations).
• Perform data profiling, cataloging, and reconciliation using Informatica or Reltio MDM.
• Manage reconciliation of potential matches and resolve data discrepancies.
• Oversee Data Change Request (DCR) processes including review, approval, and documentation as per SLAs.
• Execute and optimize SQL queries for validation and analysis.
• Use Python for data transformation, quality checks, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill data requirements.
• Support UAT and system integration testing for MDM-related updates.
• Implement data governance processes aligned with enterprise standards.
• Maintain and update SOPs, Data Catalogs, Playbooks, and SLAs.
• Identify and implement process improvements for data stewardship and analytics.
• Conduct regular audits and monitoring to maintain high data quality.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree with 13 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field OR
• Bachelor's degree with 25 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field OR
• Diploma with 68 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Direct experience in data stewardship, data profiling, and MDM
• Hands-on experience with Informatica or Reltio MDM platforms
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying
• Familiarity with data cataloging techniques and tools
• Basic knowledge of Python scripting for data processing

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with PySpark and Databricks
• Background in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Exposure to Agile methodologies, tools like Jira and Confluence
• Understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

Professional Certifications:
