Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MDM Analyst to join our Master Data Management team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of Maersk's critical master data. You will be responsible for validating, updating, and maintaining master data records, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with various teams to uphold high data governance standards. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in SQL, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Validation & Updates: Validate and update master data requests, ensuring strict adherence to established data quality rules and country-specific exceptions.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic quality checks on master data to proactively identify and rectify inaccuracies, maintaining optimal accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Vendor & Customer Data Management: Update vendor and customer master data in alignment with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and internal data guidelines.
  • Duplicate Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve duplicate records within the master data system to maintain a clean and reliable dataset.
  • Data Governance Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Data Steward and Governance teams to actively support ongoing data quality initiatives and master data clean-up activities.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all master data processes, ensuring clear guidelines and consistency.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Participate in discussions with Business Partners and Stakeholders, promptly and professionally addressing ad-hoc requirements and inquiries.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize SQL queries to extract and analyze data for comprehensive quality checks and various reporting purposes.
  • Dashboard Development: Create and maintain Power BI dashboards to effectively monitor and report on master data quality metrics and trends.
  • Audit & Compliance: Support audit requirements and ensure continuous compliance with master data guidelines and internal controls.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify areas for enhancement within data management processes and propose solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM) or a related data-focused field.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving data issues.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an integral part of a team.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, crucial for maintaining data accuracy.
  • Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
