About The Opportunity

Role: Consultant Physician (MD/DNB - Internal Medicine) On-site, Khanna, Punjab, India
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient medical care: assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in adults.
- Lead daily medical rounds, create and implement individualized treatment plans, and ensure timely escalation to specialists when required.
- Provide emergency response coverage in the hospital (stabilisation, acute medical interventions, and handover) following ACLS protocols.
- Interpret diagnostic tests (ECG, chest X-ray, basic labs) and use point-of-care tools to guide bedside decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and nurses, maintain accurate medical records in the EMR, and ensure clinical documentation quality.
- Participate in clinical governance: infection control, mortality reviews, audit cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MD (Internal Medicine) or DNB (Internal Medicine) or equivalent medical qualification.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission / State Medical Council (licensed to practice in India).
- Proven clinical experience managing inpatient and outpatient internal medicine caseloads, including acute care.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical documentation standards.
- Strong diagnostic skills: ECG, chest radiograph, and routine laboratory interpretation.
Preferred
- Experience with point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for bedside assessment.
- Previous work experience in multi-specialty private hospitals or tertiary-care settings.
- Engagement in clinical audits, teaching, or continuous medical education activities.
