Primary Job Title: Consultant Physician (MD/DNB)
Healthcare Clinical Services / Community Hospital & Outpatient Medicine. Opportunity to deliver comprehensive adult medicine services on-site in Alephata Taluka, Junnar, Maharashtra, serving patients across primary and secondary care settings in a rural/suburban catchment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient adult medicine care: evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions with evidence-based practice.
- Lead daily ward rounds, manage admissions and discharges, author accurate clinical notes and prescriptions, and ensure continuity of care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call coverage; perform commonly required bedside procedures according to competency and hospital protocols.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff; support skills training, case reviews, and clinical governance activities.
- Coordinate investigations and referralswork closely with laboratory, radiology, and specialty networks to optimise patient pathways.
- Maintain clinical quality and patient-safety standards: follow infection control, documentation, audit cycles, and local regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MD or DNB in General Medicine
- Valid medical registration to practise in India
- Proven experience managing inpatient and outpatient adult medical cases
- ACLS certification
- Competence in emergency resuscitation and common bedside procedures
- Ability to maintain clinical documentation and follow clinical governance protocols
Preferred
- Experience working in rural or community hospital settings
- Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records / telemedicine workflows
