Primary job title: Consultant Dermatologist (MD) Outpatient / OPD
About The Opportunity
Healthcare Ambulatory Care & Outpatient Dermatology Services. We operate a patient-focused outpatient dermatology practice delivering evidence-based medical, surgical, and cosmetic skin care across urban clinics in India. This role is ideal for clinicians who excel in high-volume OPD environments and procedural dermatology.
Role & Responsibilities
- Run structured OPD clinics: evaluate new and follow-up patients, perform focused dermatologic examinations, and deliver accurate diagnoses and management plans.
- Perform outpatient dermatologic procedures including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrosurgical procedures, and administer injectable therapies safely and effectively.
- Manage common and complex medical dermatology conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, fungal and bacterial infections) and initiate appropriate systemic therapies and follow-up.
- Deliver cosmetic dermatology treatments where indicated (botulinum toxin, chemical peels, non-ablative procedures) while adhering to informed consent and safety protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records in EMR, document procedures, advise on infection control, and ensure medication & referral coordination with allied specialties.
- Participate in OPD quality initiatives: clinical audits, patient education sessions, and contribute to training of junior staff and nursing teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Dermatology or equivalent postgraduate qualification registered with the National Medical Commission / relevant State Medical Council.
- Proven clinical experience in outpatient dermatology practice and procedural dermatology (skin biopsy, cryotherapy, electrosurgery).
- Demonstrable competence in dermatoscopy and medical dermatology diagnostics.
- Familiarity with Phototherapy (NBUVB) protocols or hands-on exposure to phototherapy equipment.
- Experience documenting clinical encounters in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and managing OPD workflows.
Preferred
- Experience in cosmetic dermatology procedures including botulinum toxin administration, dermal fillers, and chemical peels.
- Training or certification in dermatosurgery or advanced procedural dermatology.
- Previous OPD experience in private clinics or multi-specialty hospitals with high patient throughput.
