About The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on, clinically confident Resident Medical Officer to provide on-site medical oversight for admitted patients and emergency presentations. The RMO will deliver timely assessments, initial management and safe handovers while upholding hospital protocols, documentation standards and patient-safety initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 on-site medical coverage: conduct ward rounds, assess new admissions and manage ongoing inpatient care.
- Stabilize and manage acute/emergency presentations including resuscitation and airway management until specialist support is available.
- Order, interpret and act on diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECG); initiate appropriate investigations and treatment plans.
- Perform procedures as required (IV cannulation, wound care, basic emergency interventions) and ensure equipment readiness.
- Prepare accurate clinical documentation, treatment orders and discharge summaries; ensure clear handovers to nursing staff and consultants.
- Escalate clinical deterioration, participate in infection control and support quality improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree with active registration on the State Medical Council / NMC (eligible to practice in India).
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or current.
- Clinical experience in inpatient and emergency care settings with competence in ward rounds and acute management.
- Proven skills in IV cannulation, wound management and ECG interpretation.
- Strong medical documentation, clinical handover and escalation practices.
- Willingness to work on-site in shift patterns and participate in on-call rotations.
Preferred
- Prior RMO or junior doctor experience in a multispecialty hospital (Navi Mumbai or comparable urban centre).
- Additional certifications such as ATLS / PALS or experience with hospital information systems (HIS / EMR).
- Exposure to basic critical-care monitoring and emergency department workflows.
