Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MBBS Medical Officer role based in Bengaluru. The Medical Officer will provide clinical consultations for sexual health and STIs, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment as per established protocols. Responsibilities include counseling patients on sexual health, preventive measures, and treatment adherence, while maintaining strict confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach. The role involves coordinating with laboratory teams for test ordering and result interpretation, documenting encounters in medical records, and ensuring compliance with clinical and ethical standards. The Medical Officer will also collaborate with other physicians and counselors, participate in internal trainings, and contribute to continuous improvement of clinical pathways and patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Medicine, with an MBBS degree from a recognized institution and valid registration with the relevant medical council.
  • Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including empathetic communication, confidentiality, and a non-stigmatizing approach to sexual and reproductive health.
  • Ability to provide Training and clinical guidance to junior team members, counselors, or support staff as needed.
  • Experience in minor clinical procedures or Surgery-related basics is an advantage, especially in sexual health or related specialties.
  • Comfortable Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams, including lab personnel and counselors, to deliver coordinated care.
  • Prior exposure to sexual health, STI clinics, dermatology, gynecology, urology, or public health is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one regional language (e.g., Kannada or Hindi) for effective patient communication.
  • Strong documentation skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and adherence to clinical guidelines and infection control protocols.
  • Willingness to work full time on-site in Bengaluru and adapt to a patient-centric, fast-growing healthcare environment.
