About the Role
We are looking for a Maths Expert (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on mathematical reasoning, quantitative problem-solving, and educational content quality.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, probability, statistics, and applied mathematics, helping improve how AI models solve, explain, and reason through mathematical concepts and problems.
You will collaborate with global AI and research teams to assess the accuracy, clarity, and logical consistency of AI-generated mathematical solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for tutoring, education, and advanced mathematical reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including mathematical explanations, derivations, proofs, and step-by-step problem-solving approaches
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated responses related to mathematics concepts and applications
- Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency
- Diagnose and solve mathematical problems to improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Assess AI outputs for accuracy, conceptual clarity, logical consistency, and correctness of calculations
- Identify incorrect assumptions, incomplete reasoning, or misleading explanations in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on mathematics education and reasoning systems
Requirements
- Background in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Education, or a related field
- Strong understanding of algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, probability, statistics, and mathematical reasoning
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and in a structured manner
- Experience in tutoring, teaching, academic content creation, or mathematical problem-solving is preferred
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
