Job Role: Mathematics Teacher (Cambridge)
Location: Sector 70A, Gurgaon
Job Purpose
The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum to teach IGCSE, AS & A levels. The teacher will foster analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong conceptual understanding of mathematics while supporting students in achieving academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum framework.
- Teach Mathematics across assigned grade levels, including Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE.
- Develop students mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Assessment and Student Progress
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments in line with Cambridge standards.
- Prepare students effectively for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress accurately.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement intervention strategies.
Curriculum Planning and Development
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Collaborate with department members to ensure curriculum continuity and progression.
- Participate in curriculum review and improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with Cambridge assessment criteria, syllabus updates, and best practices in Mathematics education.
Student Support
- Support students academic and personal development.
- Promote a growth mindset and encourage resilience in learning Mathematics.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
- Participate in school activities, events, competitions, and enrichment programs.
- Contribute to Mathematics clubs, Olympiads, STEM initiatives, and other co-curricular activities.
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.
- Engage in continuous professional learning and reflective practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's & Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in secondary Mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge assessment requirements and examination preparation.
- Cambridge Professional Development qualification or certification.
