Role Description
We are looking for a Mathematics Specialist who enjoys solving challenging mathematical problems and can communicate complex ideas clearly. In this role, you will work closely with researchers and engineers to develop mathematical models, analyze algorithms, design experiments, and support machine learning and statistical research.
The ideal candidate is deeply curious about mathematics, enjoys learning new topics independently, and can explain concepts in a way that makes them accessible to others.
This is a full-time remote position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze mathematical models relevant to machine learning, statistics, and data-driven systems.
- Support research and development efforts through rigorous mathematical reasoning and quantitative analysis.
- Work on problems involving linear algebra, probability, statistics, optimization, and related areas.
- Validate mathematical assumptions and interpret experimental results.
- Create clear explanations, documentation, and educational resources for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in developing structured learning materials to help team members strengthen their mathematical foundations.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate complex problems into mathematical formulations.
- Continuously learn new mathematical concepts and contribute to a culture of intellectual growth.
QualificationsRequired
- Strong foundation in mathematics, including areas such as:
- Linear Algebra
- Probability Theory
- Statistics
- Optimization
- Mathematical Modeling
- Excellent mathematical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and intuitively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with computational tools such as Python, MATLAB, R, Julia, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Preferred
- Interest or experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Statistical Modeling.
- Experience creating educational content, tutorials, lessons, or training materials.
- Familiarity with research-oriented problem solving and independent learning.
