Mathematics Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in advanced mathematics could directly shape how AI reasons through the world's most complex problems We're looking for Mathematics Experts with Master's or PhD-level training to help build and refine the mathematical reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work asynchronously alongside leading AI researchers and domain experts — contributing at the frontier of AI development without leaving your desk.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and rigorous structure
- Design complex problem statements drawing on your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas
- Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, depth, and clarity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to strengthen model performance on mathematical tasks
- Ensure every deliverable meets high standards of mathematical rigor and precision
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Proficient in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or applied problem-solving
- Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex ideas with precision
- Detail-oriented and methodical, with a commitment to accuracy in every deliverable
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, U.K., or Australia
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in applied mathematics, mathematical modelling, or computational research
- Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts
- Experience writing or reviewing technical content for academic or professional audiences
