About the Role
We are seeking a Mathematics SME with a strong foundation in advanced mathematics, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability, and Real Analysis. This role requires validating complex mathematical solutions, reviewing symbolic steps, analyzing proofs, and generating high-quality reasoning explanations. You will work on STEM/reasoning datasets, evaluate correctness, detect conceptual or computational errors, and produce clear, gold-standard solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate step-by-step solutions for advanced mathematics problems across calculus, algebra, probability, and analysis.
- Evaluate proofs, symbolic derivations, and logical reasoning for correctness and clarity.
- Detect conceptual mistakes, computation errors, notation inconsistencies, or flawed reasoning.
- Produce high-quality annotations, corrected steps, and gold-standard explanations.
- Review solution chains for completeness, rigor, and mathematical soundness.
- Collaborate with dataset and evaluation teams to maintain accuracy and consistency across STEM reasoning tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
- BSc/MSc in Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields; Olympiad or competitive math background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability Theory, Real Analysis, and general university-level math.
- Skilled in advanced math problem-solving, symbolic reasoning, and proof evaluation.
- Ability to detect gaps in reasoning, incorrect assumptions, or logically invalid steps.
- Excellent clarity in mathematical communication, explanation writing, and structured reasoning.
