Role Overview
- Position: Math Olympiad Expert Contract, Remote
- Commitment: 20-40 hours per week, 10 weeks duration
- Join a frontier AI research lab to enhance AI reasoning on Olympiad-level math problems.
Responsibilities
- Design novel, advanced Olympiad-style mathematics problems.
- Evaluate and dissect AI-generated solutions for correctness and clarity.
- Identify logical flaws, incomplete reasoning, or insufficiently-rigorous proofs.
- Provide structured feedback and clear, concise, and correct solutions.
- Maintain extremely high standards of mathematical precision and problem difficulty.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
- Medalist (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) or equivalent within the past 5 years.
- Expertise in algebra, geometry, combinatorics, and number theory.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex reasoning in written form.
- Rigorous attention to detail in verifying solutions.
- Independent, reliable, and disciplined work style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applications from non-medalists considered for future opportunities.
Engagement Details
- Compensation:
- Gold: $85/hr
- Silver & Bronze: $70/hr
- Honorable Mention: $60/hr
- Participants: $50/hr
- Contract Type: Independent contractor through Mercor
- Payments: Weekly via Stripe Connect
- Location: Open to medalists worldwide (English proficiency required)
