This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for working researchers, postdocs, industry scientists, and academics who want to contribute their expertise to something genuinely groundbreaking — on their own schedule.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related subfields to craft complex, nuanced problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated reasoning and outputs for scientific accuracy, depth, and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the boundaries of what AI can reason about
- Ensure clarity, precision, and scientific integrity across all deliverables
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related discipline
- Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent areas
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or applied projects
- Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex concepts with precision and accessibility
- Detail-oriented, rigorous, and self-directed when working independently
- Currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI model assessment
- Background in computational materials science, DFT, or materials informatics
- Experience writing technical documentation, research papers, or peer reviews
- Familiarity with AI tools or scientific AI platforms as an end user
