As the Materials Planning Lead at Nokia's factory in Oragadam, Chennai, you will play a pivotal role within our Supply Chain team, driving the materials planning function to ensure seamless production operations. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Lead materials planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely availability of components.
  • Utilize SAP and advanced planning tools to forecast material requirements based on production schedules and customer demand.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and reduce lead times.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to swiftly address supply chain challenges.
  • Engage with global and regional suppliers to ensure material responsiveness and availability.
  • Mentor and develop a team of material planners, setting performance objectives and monitoring progress.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration within R&D, Quality, and Finance for effective planning alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with Nokia's supply chain policies and deliver regular performance reports on inventory and planning metrics.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Typically, a minimum 1015 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management
  • Proficiency in SAP (MM/PP modules), Excel, and data analytics tool.
  • Experience in telecommunication or electronics manufacturing.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Leadership and team development capabilities.
