The Qualifications We Seek

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in materials planning, supply planning, or buyer/planner roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro - required
  • Working proficiency in Oracle EBS or SAP, including MRP, purchasing, and inventory modules - required
  • Strong knowledge of MRP logic, safety stock methodologies, and inventory health management, including coverage, aging, and excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data discipline, with the ability to build and defend analyses from raw system data
  • Clear, proactive communication skills with the ability to drive suppliers and internal partners toward committed dates
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in OTC pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other FDA-regulated/cGMP manufacturing environments
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools, such as Apache Superset or Power BI, or with SQL
  • Experience within a planning Center of Excellence (CoE) or similarly governed parameter model

Your Daily Tasks

MRP & Supply Execution

  • Run the weekly MRP cycle and translate planning signals into purchasing actions
  • Place, expedite, defer, and cancel purchase orders within established policy
  • Manage the full purchase order lifecycle from placement through receipt

Supplier Management

  • Own the weekly supplier cadence for assigned vendors
  • Maintain supplier schedules with clear commitment and recovery signals
  • Track supplier confirmations and on-time delivery
  • Hold suppliers accountable to committed dates

Inventory Policy & Safety Stock

  • Govern safety stock parameters by segment within Center of Excellence (CoE) governance limits
  • Monitor inventory coverage, health, and age
  • Lead monthly inventory policy reviews for the assigned portfolio

E&O Prevention & Disposition

  • Prevent excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory through early-warning triggers
  • Propose monthly E&O dispositions with quantified financial impacts
  • Document root causes and implement appropriate portfolio and policy actions

Data Quality & Parameter Stewardship

  • Maintain accurate planning master data across lead times, minimum order quantities, lot sizes, and safety stocks
  • Ensure compliance with established planning parameters
  • Coordinate audits and updates with Master Data and Supply Planning

S&OE & Exception Management

  • Resolve material exceptions within established SLAs
  • Participate in weekly Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) discussions for material-driven allocations and risk decisions
  • Align recovery dates with Customer Service for material-driven delays

Escalation

  • Escalate supplier capacity, lead-time, or yield risks that threaten service levels or exceed policy guardrails
  • Recommend clear courses of action for escalated supply risks

Decision Rights & Scope of Authority

  • Place, expedite, defer, and cancel purchase orders within established policy
  • Adjust safety stock parameters within CoE governance limits
  • Propose E&O dispositions with quantified impacts for approval
  • Escalate supplier capacity or lead-time risks beyond established guardrails to Supply Planning leadership and Sourcing

Performance Measures

  • Meet supplier OTIF (on time, in full) targets
  • Ensure on-time purchase order placement
  • Control E&O trends and inventory aging
  • Optimize inventory turns and days of supply by segment
  • Maintain planning parameter compliance through CoE audits
  • Support weekly S&OE reviews of exception closure and inventory coverage health

Key Interfaces

  • Collaborate daily with Supply Planning, Master/Production Planning, Sourcing/External Operations, Quality, Master Data, and Customer Service
  • Use Oracle EBS for ERP and MRP processes
  • Use Kinaxis for supply and inventory planning
  • Apply safety stock analytics within the CoE planning model
