SAP Data Migration Expert - 6 months - Contract - Full time - Remote with AdHoc Travel

The Data Migration Expert for Procurement (Direct and Indirect) plays a critical role in ensuring the successful migration of procurement-related data during global and country-level deployments. This role is responsible for the end-to-end data migration lifecycle for key procurement data objects, including Vendor Master, Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requisitions (PR), Source Lists (SL), and Purchasing Info Records (PIR). The expert acts as the functional Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for data migration activities and ensures data quality, completeness, and readiness in alignment with deployment timelines and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate data migration activities for procurement data objects across deployments.
• Ensure timely completion of data cleansing tasks for assigned objects.
• Collect and validate data for manual or constructed objects.
• Collaborate with IT teams to prepare and validate value mappings.
• Create and maintain master data lists where applicable.
• Provide business insights to support extraction and transformation of legacy data.
• Identify in-scope data objects in collaboration with IT and country Business Data Owners.
• Ensure data readiness and quality throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Validate data against business rules and stakeholder expectations.
• Approve upload files before and after data loads, including formal sign-off.
• Perform manual data entry into target systems where required.
• Execute dual maintenance activities during transition phases.
• Run and approve data verification scripts to ensure data integrity.
• Act as the functional SPoC for defect resolution during Hypercare for assigned objects.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• On-time completion of data cleansing and collection activities.
• Successful and timely data loads for all relevant procurement data objects.
• Resolution of major data quality issues within project timelines.
• Stakeholder satisfaction with data accuracy and readiness.
• Compliance with global and local data governance standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data migration, preferably in procurement or supply chain domains.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes (Direct and Indirect).
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with data migration tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with S/4HANA migrations.
• Knowledge of data governance and master data management principles.
