Master Data Management Designer

Job Description:

Torry Harris is seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Designer / Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing MDM solutions that support our business objectives, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the organization. The candidate will collaborate with data stewards and technical teams to align design solutions with overall data management goals.

Tools Required:

- Database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)

- Data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Apache Nifi)

- Data profiling and quality tools (e.g., Talend Data Quality, Informatica Data Quality)

- Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

- Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement MDM architecture to manage and maintain master data across various domains.

- Collaborate with business analysts and data stewards to gather and document data requirements.

- Develop data models, workflows, and processes for data integration, cleansing, and governance.

- Define data quality metrics and establish processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.

- Lead the evaluation and selection of MDM tools and technologies that align with business needs.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members on MDM best practices.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to MDM and data management.

-Architect and implement Event-driven TMF APIs and reusable integration components.

Skills Required:

- Extensive experience in MDM architecture and best practices, including data governance and data quality.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and data integration technologies.

- Proficiency in MDM tools such as Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, SAP MDG, or equivalent.

- Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

- Familiarity with cloud-based MDM solutions and big data technologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

You are Responsible for:

- Designing and implementing MDM frameworks that support data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management.

- Work closely with business analysts, data stewards, integration teams, application architects, and project managers.

- Leading the development of data models, identifying key data entities and relationships to create a unified view of master data.

- Collaborating with IT and business teams to integrate MDM solutions with existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.

To succeed in this role you should have the following:

- Proven experience in MDM architecture and design, with a strong understanding of relevant tools and technologies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices, along with experience in data quality and data integration processes.
