The Marketplace Specialist will be responsible for one or more modules within the Marketplace function at GSM India. Marketplace team oversees business operations of the core ride hailing business of GSM covering planning and execution of promotions, driver payouts, pricing, new features and fraud mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Analyze promotion spends by setting up A/B tests and iterate for continuous improvement in promotion spending and user engagement
- Analyze retention and repeat behavior patterns of customers and devise strategies incorporating product features to increase engagement over time
- Analyze driver behavior patterns and come up with strategies for different driver cohorts enabling low churn of driver base and improving performance while staying within spending guardrails as aligned through business plans
- Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions; actively track competition promotions, pricing and product features and suggest counter measures from GSM perspective
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Driver Sourcing, Product/Tech and Marketing to align marketplace initiatives with business objectives
- Prepare regular reports on marketplace performance and present findings to stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics or other related field with 4-5 yrs of experience
- Proven experience in marketplace management or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx (any one tool with advanced proficiency)
- Skills required: MS Excel Advanced, SQL Intermediate, R, Python Basic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
