Job Description

Role Objective:

The Marketing Project Lead will work in close collaboration with the Marketing Heads of Strategic Business Units to lead product-level marketing strategy. The role integrates global brand selection, competitive positioning, and portfolio optimization to maximize international and domestic market penetration. It also involves proactive performance tracking and cross-functional collaboration to ensure sustainable brand growth across geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Gap Identification & Geo-Expansion

  • Continuously analyze international business environments to identify evolving need gaps through market insights.
  • Drive geo-expansion by leveraging strengths from the domestic market for targeted international territories.

New Brand Launch & Cross-Pollination

  • Develop strategic rationale for launching new brands in global markets.
  • Facilitate the cross-pollination of successful domestic brands into relevant international markets with proper regulatory and commercial planning.

Marketing-Operations Synergy

  • Enhance collaboration between marketing and operations to improve execution timelines and efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment of operational capabilities with market demand for product readiness.

Therapy-Focused Global Brand Building

  • Collaborate with therapy area teams to identify suitable brands for global expansion based on geographic relevance and competition.
  • Create and manage attribute mapping aligned to the needs of each geography to guide brand positioning and messaging.

Strategic Brand & Portfolio Management

  • Develop comprehensive brand and marketing plans focused on competitive differentiation.
  • Strengthen therapy portfolios by defining product mix rationale and optimizing underperforming (tail-end) brands for profitability.

Execution Excellence & Performance Monitoring

  • Ensure consistent execution of brand strategies and tactical marketing plans as per KPIs.
  • Proactively identify and communicate business opportunities or risks (green/red flags), recommending necessary actions.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Minimum: B.Sc. / B. Pharm / M. Pharm
  • Preferred: MBA (Marketing or Strategy) from a reputed institution

Work Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing, brand management, portfolio strategy, or business analytics
  • Experience in international business project management in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Strong leadership traits, passion for execution, collaborative mindset, and a high drive for achievement
