Marketing Product Owner, Assurant, GCC-India
The Digital/Marketing Product Owner is responsible for driving effective execution, performance oversight, and continuous optimization of Assurant's digital sales and enrollment experiences. The role exists to ensure that business needs are clearly translated into deliverable features, that platform performance is actively monitored and understood, and that insights from performance are used to inform prioritization and planning.
By partnering closely with Technical Product Owners, Agile delivery teams, and internal stakeholders, this role helps ensure that delivered solutions are aligned to product and program business goals and contribute measurable value through disciplined planning, delivery, and optimization.
This position will be in Hyderabad/Bangalore/Chennai at our India location.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job
Agile Delivery & PI Planning Support – 30%
- Own business execution support across Agile delivery cycles to ensure features are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered in alignment with business objectives.
- Support feature intake, definition, and readiness for Agile delivery
- Actively participate in PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure business context, success criteria, and outcomes are clearly articulated for features
- Partner with delivery teams to manage dependencies, risks, and sequencing across workstreams
- Support consistent execution across Agile teams, with enterprise alignment as applicable
Performance Monitoring & Business Value Management – 25%
- Own ongoing monitoring and interpretation of digital experience performance, tying outcomes directly to product and program business goals.
- Monitor site and funnel performance metrics such as conversion, attach rate, traffic trends, and funnel progression
- Analyze performance trends and identify drivers of change
- Connect delivered features and optimizations to measurable business outcomes
- Serve as a point of accountability for understanding performance impacts and implications
Optimization & Continuous Improvement – 20%
- Drive a closed-loop feedback process that translates performance insights into actionable recommendations and delivery priorities.
- Identify optimization opportunities based on performance data and user behavior
- Translate insights into recommended backlog items and feature refinements in partnership with the Technical Product Owner
- Ensure learnings and outcomes inform future PI Planning and near-term delivery priorities
- Partner with analytics and delivery teams to evaluate the impact of enhancements and optimizations
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement – 15%
- Act as a liaison between delivery teams, account teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making.
- Intake and assess stakeholder requests, providing structured recommendations and tradeoff analysis
- Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and performance insights to internal stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver leadership-ready updates and performance readouts
- Support enterprise alignment where responsibilities span multiple teams or platforms
Reporting, Documentation & Operational Rigor – 10%
- Ensure strong operational discipline through clear documentation, reporting, and process consistency.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and recurring performance reporting
- Produce executive-ready summaries linking delivery, performance, and business outcomes
- Maintain accurate product artifacts, documentation, and performance context
- Identify opportunities to improve execution rigor, prioritization, and cross-team collaboration
What are the requirements needed for this position
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Product Owner, Product Analyst, or similar role supporting digital platforms
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an Agile or SAFe delivery environment, including participation in PI Planning and Agile ceremonies
- Experience supporting digital sales, enrollment, transactional, or customer-facing digital platforms
Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of Agile and/or SAFe delivery frameworks and product development lifecycle concepts
- Experience defining business requirements, features, and acceptance criteria for digital products
- Experience working with Technical Product Owners, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to analyze digital performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, funnel performance, traffic trends)
- Experience preparing structured summaries, documentation, and performance reporting for internal stakeholders or leadership
- Proficiency with product and analytics tools (e.g., backlog management tools, analytics platforms, reporting tools, Google Analytics.
What are the Preferred requirements needed for this position
- Experience in connected services, insurance, or telecom sectors.
- Background in marketing operations or enablement.
- Multilingual proficiency (English required; Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred).

- Background supporting marketing operations, sales enablement, or digital growth initiatives
