Job Description

Reports To: Head – Marketing (UG):                Office: Sion, Mumbai

Role Purpose: The University Marketing Outreach Specialist leads strategic, mission-aligned outreach to high schools & junior colleges across Maharashtra and neighbouring states to promote UAI's UG programs. The role focuses on building durable relationships with school counsellors, educators, Test Prep centers & prospective students; delivering compelling messaging; coordinating events that position UAI as a premier choice for undergraduate study in AI, Computer science, Engineering, Management, Sports sciences, design, Sound & music and Psychology (liberal arts).

Key Responsibilities

·      Regional Outreach Strategy and Partnerships

o Develop & execute a 12–18 month outreach plan targeting high schools, technical schools and junior colleges across Maharashtra and adjacent states (e.g., Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh as applicable).

o Build & maintain partnerships with school districts, Test Prep / career centers; serve as the primary university contact for key school partners in the region.

o Represent the university at regional education fairs, campus discovery events (virtual and on-site at key partner locations), and partner site visits; coordinate VIP campus tours for prospective students, counsellors, principals, and teachers.

·      Marketing and Communications

o Create regionally resonant outreach materials and messaging for diverse student populations.

o Produce and manage content that supports UG recruitment in school channels: brochures, presentations, digital assets, social media, and email campaigns tailored to the region.

o Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Programs, and Student Support to ensure consistent, accurate information across touchpoints.

·      Events and Programs

o Plan and execute on-site and virtual events for prospective students & families (target audience: 9th–12th graders, parents/guardians, counsellors) including campus tours, discovery days, counselling workshops, AI/tech bootcamps, & summer programs.

o Organize outreach initiatives like classroom presentations, college fairs, speaker series & overnight visits; track outcomes and follow up with leads.

·      Lead Generation and Pipeline Management

o Generate qualified inquiries and applications by engaging school-based audiences and delivering effective, regionally tailored calls-to-action.

o Use CRM and enrolment systems to track interactions, follow-ups, & progression through the funnel; maintain accurate records of school partnerships and outreach activities.

o Collaborate with Admissions Operations to align regional outreach with recruitment goals and timelines.

·      Compliance and Partnerships

o Ensure outreach practices comply with FERPA, privacy policies, and university guidelines.

o Build relationships with community organizations, STEM/AI education programs, and pre-college pathways to broaden access in the region.

·      Analytics and Reporting

o Define and monitor KPIs (e.g., number of active partnerships, regional outreach events, inquiries generated, applications initiated from regional schools, campus tours, yield rates from partner schools).

o Prepare regular regional reports for leadership highlighting progress, ROI, and recommendations for program adjustments.

·      Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work

o Partner with Marketing Communications for branding; work with Admissions for funnel management; coordinate with Academic departments to highlight programs and pathways.

o Support student ambassadors and regional mentors who participate in outreach activities.

·      Qualifications

o Education: Bachelor's degree required (relevant fields: Marketing, Communications, Education, Public Relations, Business, or related). Master's degree a plus.

o Experience: 2–4+ years in marketing, outreach, admissions, enrolment management; experience working with high schools or youth-focused programs preferred; regional outreach experience in Maharashtra or western India is a plus.

o Language: Proficiency in English; regional language proficiency (Marathi, Hindi) is highly desirable.

o Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences.

o Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with schools, educators, and community organizations.

o Travel: Willingness to travel across Maharashtra and neighboring states as required (percentage dependent on geography).

o Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint. Basic graphic design or video editing skills a plus.

o Regional market insight: Understanding of Maharashtra's education landscape, school calendars, and entrance exam timelines (e.g., state-level exams, if relevant).

o Collaboration: Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration skills.

o Customer service mindset: Strong responsiveness to partner schools and inquiries.

·      Performance Metrics

o Number of active regional school partnerships established and maintained.

o Regional outreach events conducted and attendance metrics.

o Inquiries generated from school-based channels and conversion to applications.

o Campus tours and discovery visits conducted in the region.

o Conversion rate from inquiries to applications and to enrolment for regional leads.

o Partner satisfaction scores and qualitative feedback from school contacts.

·      Work Environment and Schedule

o Hybrid role: primarily office-based with travel to partner schools and events across Maharashtra and neighbouring states.

o Flexible scheduling to accommodate after-school and weekend events; some early mornings or evenings may be required.
