Job Description

Job Description: Ground Operation Intern

Duration: Internship (6 months, PPO based on performance)

Experience: 0–1 years

Location: Bangalore / factory & field-heavy role (frequent travel required)

 About the Role

We're building the ground operations backbone for a Physical AI team, the people who make sure real-world data collection, deployment, and testing actually happen on factory floors, assembly lines, manufacturing units etc... This isn't a desk job. You'll be the POC to make sure the things are progressing in 2X in the provided environment.

What You'll Do

- Run day-to-day ground operations across factories, assembly lines, manufacturing units, etc

- Build, manage, and grow a network of ops contacts-  plant managers, supervisors, line workers, vendors

- Get work done through blue-collar teams- this means understanding work rhythms, and communication style, not just issuing instructions

- Troubleshoot on-the-spot issues and solve it in the spot.

- Maintain trackers, reports, and documentation (MS Office / Excel-heavy)

- Work with the Central ops team to understand what data/ops output is needed and translate that into ground execution

- Travel frequently and work beyond standard hours when ground situations demand it

Who You Are

1. Hustler - comfortable with long, irregular hours and unpredictable ground conditions

2. People-smart- understands human/worker physiology and psychology; communicates naturally across hierarchy levels (from plant owner to line worker)

3. Execution-focused - knows how to actually get things done through blue-collar people,

/on-ground workers.

4. MS Office fluent - Excel, Word, PowerPoint for trackers, reports, and updates

5. Tech-curious - genuinely excited to learn the physical AI stack, not just the ops side

6. Relationship builder - can open doors with factories/manufacturing units and mature those into working relationships

7. Comfortable with travel - willing to be on the road/on-site regularly, sometimes on short notice

8. Resourceful negotiator - can work out vendor/factory terms, timelines, and access without needing a script

9. Field-first problem solver -  treats ground issues (delays, access, worker pushback) as things to solve in real time, not escalate immediately

10. Local language proficiency (in addition to English) - a strong plus for ground-level communication

Good to Have

- Prior internship/field exposure in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics

- Basic understanding of robotics, automation, or data collection workflows

- Experience working with vendors or contract labor

 What You'll Get

- Direct, high-ownership exposure to building physical AI from the ground up

- Steep learning curve across ops, tech, and people management

- Fast-track to a full-time ops role for strong performers
