Marketing Manager - Senior Content Writer

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Senior Content Writer to lead Firstsource's horizontal content marketing programme across all service lines. This is a high-ownership, end-to-end role: that will set the content strategy, do the writing, manage external contributors, and own performance, all without significant hand-holding.

Horizontal means the content works across Firstsource's full portfolio covering areas spanning Artificial Intelligence, Collections, Consulting, Customer Experience, AI-First Marketing, Digital Platforms & Technologies, IT Services & Solutions, Trust & Safety and more, rather than sitting within any single vertical. The role is key to giving Firstsource a unified, authoritative voice in the market.

The ideal candidate is part strategist, part journalist, part editor. You write with authority on complex B2B topics, you understand how great content drives demand, and you are comfortable operating at the intersection of AI tools, SEO, and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Content Development

  • Own the horizontal content calendar; planning, commissioning, and producing long-form and short-form assets aligned to business objectives and Go-to-Market priorities across all eight service lines
  • Create white papers, industry reports, research-backed thought leadership articles, executive POVs, case studies, blog posts, email nurture sequences, social copy, and website content
  • Translate Firstsource's positioning — Intelligence that Operates, domain expertise, outcomes-based delivery into compelling narratives for C-suite and senior practitioner audiences
  • Define content personas, buying-stage content maps, and topic clusters for horizontal themes: AI adoption, agentic operations, digital transformation, and business outcomes

AI-Enhanced Research & Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies using both traditional methods and AI-powered research tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and equivalents)
  • Synthesize complex information — from analyst reports, SME conversations, and primary research — into clear, authoritative narratives that demonstrate genuine expertise
  • Stay current on AI developments relevant to Firstsource's service lines and translate that knowledge into timely, credible content

SEO-Optimized Content Strategy

  • Develop and execute content with SEO best practices built in: keyword strategy, topic clustering, internal linking, metadata, and structured content for AI Overviews and answer engine optimization
  • Understand and plan for zero-click search trends — creating content that wins visibility even when users don't click through to the site
  • Track and improve organic content performance: rankings, impressions, click-through rates, and content-influenced pipeline

Multi-Channel Content Planning & Distribution

  • Develop content that works across platforms — adapting long-form assets into LinkedIn articles, email nurture flows, webinar scripts, sales enablement decks, and social snippets
  • Partner with Demand Generation to integrate content into campaigns and ABM programmes; collaborate with Social Media and PR for amplification
  • Maintain and evolve the Firstsource content hub: taxonomy, discoverability, and SEO architecture

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with subject matter experts, service line leaders, and executives to extract insights and develop narratives that reflect genuine domain depth
  • Brief and manage external writers, agencies, and freelancers: maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand voice across all outsourced content
  • Collaborate with Design on visually compelling assets: infographics, report covers, social creative
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on approval of client-facing materials

Content Quality & E-E-A-T

  • Ensure all content meets high editorial standards and demonstrates Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust (E-E-A-T) — the benchmark for content that earns both audience credibility and search visibility
  • Own the end-to-end editorial workflow: brief → research → draft → SME review → approval → publish → distribute
  • Conduct regular content audits to identify gaps, refresh evergreen assets, and retire outdated material

Performance Analytics

  • Define and track content KPIs: organic traffic, content-influenced pipeline, engagement rates, asset utilization by sales, and content velocity
  • Analyze engagement data and optimize content strategy based on conversion quality — not just traffic volume
  • Report content performance to senior marketing leadership on a regular cadence

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional content writing, with a focus on long-form B2B content production
  • Industry Background: Content writing experience in IT/ITES, BPS, SaaS, or technology sectors, or a journalism background covering the technology industry
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of IT services, digital transformation, automation, and business process services, including operations, technology, and market dynamics
  • Writing Expertise: Proven track record in white papers, research reports, and thought leadership articles; ability to produce board-level content and punchy social copy from the same brief
  • AI & SEO Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Typeface, or equivalents) and modern SEO, including AI Overviews and answer engine optimization
  • Research Skills: Strong ability to synthesize complex information into compelling narratives using both traditional and AI-enhanced research methods
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technology journalist with a proven track record covering IT/ITES, BPS, SaaS, or enterprise technology
  • Content marketing experience within IT services, software, or technology consulting firms
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) and how content integrates into ABM programmes
  • Experience managing content for a global B2B brand with multi-geography audiences
  • Project management experience — comfortable running multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree
