Your New Role

Research indicates that weight stigma and discrimination are significant barriers to accessing appropriate care for individuals living with obesity. At Novo Nordisk, we are committed to addressing this issue. As Marketing Manager- Key Accounts, Obesity, you will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative strategies and setting new standards, positively impacting the lives of 240 million people affected by obesity in India. In this position, you will scope, plan, execute, and evaluate initiatives related to Obesity therapy and brand partnerships (B2B/B2C) to support the growth of the Obesity market in India.

You will be responsible to:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for obesity therapy and brand initiatives, including opportunity mapping, objective setting, key account management, and activity coordination. Monitor KPIs, proactively address risks, and oversee budgets to ensure successful project execution.
  • Strategic Planning and Brand Development: Formulate and execute comprehensive strategic plans for brands or therapies, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams and leading initiatives to shape the obesity therapy landscape.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and sustain effective relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to gather insights, build advocacy, and enhance Novo Nordisk's presence within obesity clinics.
  • Business Development and Partnership Management: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, foster innovative solutions, initiate and develop partnerships in both private and corporate environments, and manage negotiations and agreement lifecycles in line with Novo Nordisk's value proposition.
  • Care Support and Optimization: Lead projects supporting healthcare professionals in the development of quality obesity clinics, expand best practice models, and collaborate with marketing, market access, and medical teams to elevate care delivery and support services.

About the department

Over 240 million people in India have obesity, but under 1% receive medical treatment due to stigma and discrimination. Novo Nordisk is working to reduce stigma, share knowledge, and connect people to resources. As Marketing Manager- Key Accounts, Obesity, you'll report to the Senior Marketing Manager and help drive awareness and access to obesity treatment across India with Novo Nordisk India. Your Skills & Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Management (MBA) from a reputed institution with Science / Pharma graduation
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience in multinational pharmaceutical or FMCG companies, with strong ability to plan and run complex, multichannel campaigns.
  • Experience in weightloss programs, eCommerce projects, or digital therapeutics that support obesityrelated goals and encourage new, innovative approaches.
  • Having previous experience with weight loss programmes, eCommerce projects, or digital therapeutics helps achieve strategic goals in obesity treatment and encourages the creation of new methods.
  • Expertise in creating business cases, pitch documents, and value creation presentations for strategic decisions.
  • Proven market development experience, including partnership building, contracting, and managing pharmacy and e-health channels.
  • Familiarity with launching new drug classes and leading innovative product introductions.
  • Strong key account management skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships position based in Bangalore with 30%-40% travel across India.
